Maybe the word "Steem Tokens" sounds a bit informal?. In any case, I am referring to tokens on the Steem blockchain or tokens awarded to Steemians by some dApps on the Steem blockchain.

Most of these tokens would only be useful as Smart Media Tokens (SMT) once the Steem blockchain can fully support them while others can like partiko points can currently be exchanged for upvotes.

There are a few of such tokens and of course people will have different views about them. This also includes views about which would be more valuable with the release of SMT.
