70 years ago, a cool guy named Robert Schumann, issued a declaration which set base of today's EU. 

It was the first step for what we call today the EU. I'm pro EU as I remember the history and know what happened 80 years ago in Europe for example.

For over 70 years there is peace inside the EU and we see that outside on the borders are conflicts and wars, best example is the Russian aggression in the Ukraine and Moldavia.

Yes, there are a lot of people in the EU against it, people that not lived the horrors of the East-Block or forgot it, people which don't like to travel freely, people who don't care about environment, people who don't like freedom, people who don't care about human and labor rights or people who simply think they are better of. The EU is not perfect, but it is an economic powerhouse and a counter-balance for other major powers like the USA, Russia and China. Yes, to have all the safety we need to pay a small economical price, which I'm fine with it. I like to eat good meat and normal vegetables which are not sprayed and infested with weird substances. The EU takes care that the countries inside produce food that is not damaging or at least try to block most of the nasty stuff.

I like that as an EU citizen, I'm able to choose where I want to stay and work inside the Union. I like that I can vote despite the citizenship. I like the freedom pf traveling.
