I appreciate your optimism @cryptopie. But when the ship is sinking at all, it doesn’t hurt to be right next to the life boats. The witnesses should have been in the decision making process from the very beginning, not making a last minute plan when the curtain is lifted. This could have been handled much better and Justin having anything to do with anything, I don’t want to have a single cent of my money affected by that... I was wondering why development had slowed to a hault years ago and it was because @ned was planning his exit. And then right once he sells, we get communities... LOL. It’s laughable really. Yes but our witnesses are swift to freeze those steemitnc stake which should have used a long time ago for development and such, now at least it won't get used for some malicious means like voting Justin's own witnesses for his interests and not for the community or the blockchain. All is not lost plus the fact that BTC influences altcoins is for us to consider as well @alexvanaken

I feel ya. I am so can conflicted rn as a project owner. This whole ordeal has resulting in my entertaining the notion of re-envisioning the Steem experience without the ninja mine. Thinking a new chain but with some considerable architectural changes It could be a side chain but my line of thinking is similar to yours about the whimsical nature of the community at large. I don't know if I can stomach it anymore tbh
