5 ways to slay the Clutter Villain...
Are your shifting items around your living space to get things done? Stacking and balancing?

Clutter is a villain to mental and physical health, time management, and social life.

Stress, over eating, procrastination, memory loss, depression, family conflict, health and safety, are only a few attacks that Clutter Villain uses to take us down.

The obvious solution to better space management is to own less- purge what we don't need and think twice, or thrice before following through with a purchase. Decluttering is only a solution if that's truly the problem.

Many of us live in small living spaces or with more bodies within our living space, our teenagers grow, friends and family visit; all factors that seem to make homes and apartments shrink.

Here are 5 ways that you can make your kitchen livable and keep _you_ healthy.

1. The obvious step is to remove excess shit. How many elememts are on your stove? How many pots and pans do you have? Exactly!

Yes, every pot and pan has a different purpose... I know. Find at least one pot and one pan that you can live without.

I have 3 pans and it's perfect- a tiny pancake size, the average 12" and a deep sauce pan that I use for almost everything.

1. Invest in a portable island or microwave stand like this one on Amazon

You can use the stand for more than a microwave- buffet counter, food prep counter, a breakfast or tea area, a breakfast table, a plant shelf, book shelf, bathroom caddy, tool shelf, baking rack; the list could go on. The bottom line is that a microwave stand can be anything you need at the time and isn't an item that you're likely to get rid of since it can easily be repurposed.

A portable kitchen stand moves around easily and gives you more kitchen space.

1. Clean dishes often. For many, just reading those words makes their face twitch, but frequent washings solve the distaste to do dishes. It take only minutes amd you're finished. There's no eye sore, no dread, no bugs, and you'll be able to manage day to day life with less dishes if you clean frequently.

I have one cutting board and have no problem making multi course meals. We have no need to own any more than 2 cutting boards, a couple of large bowls, 1 strainer (2 at most) etc.

I do make sure that there's 2 can openers and pealers on hand because who wants to deal with that shit breaking in the middle of meal prep? Been there, no thank you.

1. Get yourself some cupboard risers for mugs and dishes.

One or two tier racks double your cupboard space and keeps contents tidy.

1. How many darn gadgets do we need? Waffle maker, popcorn machine, donuts, mini cupcakes, grill, griddle, toaster, toaster oven, bread maker, processor, blender, toaster, steamer, sandwich press, etc. How many gadgets do we ACTUALLY use? Get rid of the things you never use. "Someday" items have got to go. A good instapot would replace so many of the listed and not listed products. Do you really make waffles? If you do, keep it but most people don't have time for that. Bread makers are notorious for collecting dust and there might be someone who can't afford a bread maker but would use it- give it away.

Go through your gagets and small appliances and remove it from your space today.

Your home is your castle and you deserve to be comfortable. Smoothly navigating living space is vital to comfort, mental and physical health, time management and social life. Follow these 5 steps and you'll accelerate into a better home and better you.
