Market analyst Canalis said in a new study that compared to the same quarter last year, smartphone sales fell 21 percent in the first quarter this year.

Already smartphone sales in China have had a slower impact on Samsung. In the first quarter of 2012, the company has sold only 2 million smartphones in China, which is half of the previous year.

Apple has also lost its position in the Chinese market. Canalis said that the fourth position in the Chinese market was taken to fifth position in the US technology giant company. However, Apple did not tell the amount of Apple iPhone sold in this quarter, the company said.

On the other hand, the sales in the first quarter increased by two percent, the country's local smartphone maker Huawei said. The company also holds the top position in the country's market. The next locations are Appo, Vivo and Xiaomi.
