<center>*Even though I was imagining a feminine flower birthday cake for our lovely daughter-in-law, Ben had very a different idea.  He wanted to make a 'Bluey' cake and since he is the resident birthday cake creator in the house I went with it.*</center>

Here is wikipedia's information on the highly successful children's animated cartoon series made in Brisbane that features the Australian way of life with family and raising children.*  You may be familiar with the show if you have a young family and live in the UK or the US*</center>

<center>*The Bluey theme birthday cake was an easy choice for Ben as our 3 year old and 22 month old love the show and both their soft Bluey toys which were Christmas presents from us, the grandparents. And of course the young mum loved her cake especially the little pearl bracelet, that was my one contribution to the Bluey creation.*</center>   


<center>*We had another successful fun birthday bash with the little family.  The 22 month old has discovered the joy of the taste of marshmallows, consuming several.   The lolly decoration was looking bare when it was ready for the candle lighting and the Happy Birthday song.  Only to be expected we say!  We left two excited little boys running around the house after a couple of hours, and headed back to the Sunshine Coast.*</center>

So popular that Bluey soft toys and books are on the shelf in the toy shops.  The most remarkable thing is that the language and the Australian accents were not changed for the US market.

Janton, I have just read all about the Texas Heeler - so interesting when comparing to the Blue Heeler.   They are very similar in many ways but there are differences too, they are not blue like ours but do a very similar job with herding etc.
