Today I will share with you, what lessons I am most passionate about and what are the subjects I like the least to teach and why? It is a theme proposed by the community of @steemiteducation, and I find it interesting to share with you the love I feel for teaching the children, one of the gifts that God gave me, "cooking".

* Many textures, types of materials, shapes and weights, through the description and use of utensils and cooking pots.

* Aromas, textures, densities, flavors and combinations of these, shapes and colors, through food, spices and condiments.

Also in the kitchen I can teach mathematics:

* When we count the spoonfuls that we are going to place to prepare the food, the children learn to count.

* When we add the amounts of food we use to prepare the meal, we teach the children to add.

* By comparing the weights of food with your hands or with the digital scale, you learn the concept of weight.

* Teach the fractions: from the food into pieces.

* And by mixing the ingredients or when the water is boiled, and it goes from the liquid to the gaseous state, I can teach the children chemistry, physics and biology, in a practical and fun way.

Another thing that I love, when I teach children to cook, is that I can teach them healthy eating habits. By example, teach them to cook delicious dishes and desserts, with lower amounts of refined sugars and fats, which are equally delicious and also are beneficial for health. In this way I will be contributing to form healthier adults!

# Teach history, my least favorite subject to teach!


My least favorite lesson for the story, because it hurt me to keep the interest of students in events that happened in the past, memorize names, important dates and facts that are difficult for children, because it is something that unlike my cooking classes It's something I can not see, smell, feel, live. I know that there are tools to improve and teach this subject, but for the moment it is a topic that I prefer that another educator teach them.

My recommendation is that the teaching of history in basic education programs is not limited to memorizing places, dates and characters, since this way of imparting knowledge, in which you must memorize to pass an exam, does not produce interest or enthusiasm In the kids. For me an interesting way to teach history can be through theatrical performances, where the historical fact is shown in a funny way, and in this way captures the attention and enthusiasm of the children. It is about the teacher researching and knowing the tastes of children to use the tool that best suits them, to show and disseminate historical facts.

I must say this was a delight to read and made me a little hungry.
Up until a few weeks ago I was also teaching history. I found it as difficult as you did to teach. I opted to give it to someone else when we restructured our subjects at my school. I was teaching geography and history and decided to teach only geography and give history to another teacher who in turn gave me all his geography classes. It worked out well. History really needs to be brought alive to interest our learners.
