Para sa araw na eto magbabahagi po ako ng maikling kaalaman tungkol sa <B>nuno sa punso</B>. Ang litrato po eto kuha ko sa bakuran ng bahay namin sa probensya tinaniman ng mama ko yung bawat paligid para hindi eto masagi ng mga taong na dumadaan. Sa paniniwala po kasi saamin na oras na eto ay masira mo paparusahan ka ng mga nakatirang duwende gaya ng bibigyan ka nila ng sakit kagaya ng sakit ng pananakit ng tiyan, lalagnatin, at pagpapantal. Para mawala eto kailangan mo pumunta ng <B>Albolaryo</B> para magpatawas or mas kilala sa tawag na pagtatawas  para gamutin ang sakit na binigay ng duwende. Nasa baba po ang ibang pang tungkol sa nuno sa punso at nasa Wikang English po eto.

A <B>nuno</B> or <B>nuno sa punso</B> ("old man of the mound")is a <A>dwarf</A>-like creature in <A>Philippine mythology</A>. It is believed to live in anthil or <A>termite</A> mound, hence its name, literally 'Ancestor/Grandparent living in the anthill'.

There's this Filipino belief called nuno sa punso. Some people believe that spirits (nunos) dwell in anthills, grassy areas, in the woods, so when passing through, you have to repeatedly say "tabi-tabi po, makikiraan lang po". Loosely translated, this means "excuse me, just passing through". Failure to say this will bring harm or illness to the person who dared to show disrespect to the nuno sa punso.

"The <B>"Nuno"</B> are the spirits of old persons. When a tree is to be felled, or a piece of virgin ground broken, and on many other occasions, permission is asked of the nuno. Should this precaution be neglected misfortune will apsurely ensue." The nuno is described to be a small old man with a long beard, and differs from a duwende or dwarf of Philippine folklore. The <B>Duwende</B> is a playful hobgoblin who shows himself to children, while the nuno is a goblin easily angered and will do harm to those who damage or disturb his mound. If an invader destroys the nuno's home by kicking it, the offender's foot will become swollen. <B>Nuno sa punso</B> are also believed to inhabit places such as underneath large rocks, trees, riverbanks, caves, or home backyard.
