I have a Friend called Bubbles, Stays a few Blocks away from  The Bo. He wheels and deals in Musical Equipment , also does repairs and setups,and used to be Johhny Clegg's Guitar Tech when on Tour before ill health overtook him a few years ago .

One night Bubbles brings 2 friends down to the Bo, probably in their late 50,s  ( youngster's) they had guitars with them,  so I assume they had concluded a deal with him, stayed and had a drink with them and then headed home, leaving these 2 with me. I am obviously busy with the Bands so do not pay too much attention to them. 
 I notice that one of them gets a rather fixed expression on his face,

 staring at a pretty young lady with some Girlfriends sitting at the Bar

These 2 Gents obviously Discuss things further  and the one gets up and sidles over  to the said young lady , 

whose lifelong dream is, probably to meet a knight in shining armour , at a pub,to rescue her from from her up to then , humdrum life !.

On this particular Evening there were Three Bands playing , the One Group felt that they should play last , as they were the Drawcard?, Anyhow after a bit of discussion ( and as they had brought most of the Backline with them, they would be playing last.
 Did the Soundcheck with the First Band, they started performing  and were really impressive , likewise the second band , On comes the all- conquering Heroes , set them up, let's jump back to our Knight , who saves young ladies from a boring life with Young Men of her own age! ( or Dragon's if you prefer)
 She was maybe 23 , definitely not hard on the eyes , and looked absolutely shocked at this fellow old enough to be well past her Father's age hitting on Her!. Even worse, he came back to sit next to me , muttering that she was not that Hot anyhow. 

I cannot explain how embarrassed I was to be in his vicinity with her and her friends throwing disdainful looks our way,

pointing and talking.. I was grateful that he and his sidekick left soon after . ( probably looking for more appreciative Damsels),

 Back to the Band's So Band number 3 Official Drawcard of the evening and Lords of All they Survey ( sarcasm) . Did not really bother to participate with the Fans  for the other Bands , but had been partaking of Alcohol, and when their turn came were plastered and could barely perform ! 

Made  idiots of themselves and pretty rapidly managed to empty the club

 and make sure the highly competent SE did not get home too late.
