Greetings, how are you steemit friends? Wish you good health always.

Today I will discuss material on how to reuse the energy-saving lamps that have been damaged in the consequence of usage that has exceeded the usage/age limit of the lamp.

As technology develops today we can learn about the damage that occurs in energy-saving lamps without having to pay a fee.

This illumination tool is a tool that is very needed by everyone for the source of lighting in the home environment and so forth, lights made of various materials contained components in it in order to bring light.{source}

What if the energy-saving lamps in our homes suddenly dead/damaged, of course we will soon replace it with a new one, but for a technician will certainly try to find out why the light is dead and how to solve it. On this occasion we will learn how to utilize damaged energy lamps, who knows after you learn it, you can fix the lights at home without having to spend to replace with a newer lamp.

In the use of damaged lamps to be repaired, we must know the components on the lamp.
Components on the lamp can be classified in three parts, namely the lamp tube, armature lamp and ballast.

According to the experience I have got, there are 5 frequent damage to energy saving lamp :
1. Damage caused by the release of the lamp tube.
2. Damage to the fuse.
3. Damage caused by electronic Ballast.
4. Damage to Elco (polar capacitor).
5. Damage to Milar Starter.

Of the five possibilities the most common is the damage caused by the release of the lamp tube, this is caused by excessive heat on the lamp. To fix the lamp, you must prepare the tool in the form :
1. Minus screwdriver/Tespen
Minus screwdriver/Tespen is used to open the lamp case and its components.
2. Multimeter
This tool is used to see the state of the component in energy saving lamp series.
3. Solder and Tin
Solder and tin are useful connecting/removing components from energy-saving lamp sets.
4. Other energy saving lamps (Used lights)
Used light is very useful, because this lamp component will be taken to be replaced on the component of the lamp being repaired.

WORK MECHANISM

----------------------------------------------------------
To fix the lamps must be done with care, because the glass on this lamp is very thin so easily broken and can be bad for us.

I hope you should understand more seriously for the discussion below.
Notice the following working steps:

1. Open the lamp case using a minus or tespen screwdriver on the locking marks located behind the labels on the casing.
2. Disconnect the cable from the circuit, then test the multimeter (ohm x1 or x10 position).
3. Notice the diode component, the diode component is a combustible component, to overcome it by removing the diode and then replace with the same diode from the other lamp.
4. Make sure the glass lamp is in good condition/perfect, If the glass is still good then check the vulnerable components damaged, such as:

Fuse

To know the fuse good or not, it can be known by using multimeter. Glass fuse is used for lamps that are 35 watts upward, if the multimeter does not move it means the fuse is off and must be replaced with another fuse.

Elco (polar capacitor)

Damage to Elco can be seen with the yellow liquid discharge, Elco is used in a non-uniform shape, the greater the wattage of the lamp, the greater is the value of the elco.

Milar Starter

The part that connects between glass A and glass B wire is the location of Milar Starter, if Milar Starter is damaged then it must be replaced according to the voltage of 450 V ..

5. After the lights have been repaired, the usual lamp casings are used glue or isolation as shown below

CONCLUSION

----------------------------------------------------------
To reuse the energy-saving lamps that have been damaged, the main steps that must be known are the components on the lamp, components on the lamp can be classified in three parts, namely the lamp tube, armature lamp and ballast.

The damage that often occurs in energy saving lamp can be classified into 5 parts, that is
1. Damage caused by the release of the lamp tube.
2. Damage to the fuse.
3. Damage caused by electronic Ballast.
4. Damage to Elco (polar capacitor).
5. Damage to Milar Starter.

When fixing the lamp, it should be done carefully because the glass on this lamp is so thin that it can break easily and can be bad for us.
