Good evening guys, this is @bait002 the founder of the offline minnow school where minnows are mentored and groomed. Today I will be discussing with us about the beauty of what we are truly a part of and the vastness of the blockchain from which we mine from.

Most times I hear people confuse STEEM for STEEMIT and some even go as far as saying STEEMIT BLOCKCHAIN. STEEMIT is not a blockchain, it’s only a social media site that is built on the STEEM BLOCKCHAIN. The STEEM blockchain is like every other blockchain but so far the best and if not the first that allows content oriented mining. By content oriented mining I mean;
>considering other cryptos like bitcoin for example where its users have to mine through power and time consuming procedures. To mine bitcoin you have to have a bitcoin miner hardwhere and that for most people is quite expensive. Those who actually get to acquire it know how difficult it is to power such.
Bitcoin is mind under an energy consuming procedure; you have to have computer power to mine bitcoin. In the case of STEEM you can actually mine the crypto by creating creative contents through the various applications built on the blockchain of STEEM. Example of those apps are, steemit, dlive, dtube, dmania and so on. The steem blockchain powers all these apps and if you have any other app that’s worthy of genral adoption, you can literally integrate it to be powered by steem. One of the easiest way to do that is through the advent of SMT’s that’s to come online in the next few months.
In a nutshell, STEEM is the currency that we mine through various process that are not necessarily energy consuming but mined through intellectual power. Bitcoin requires computer power while STEEM requires human power. However, steem also shares a similarity with the other coins in that it can also be acquired from various exchanges we have out there and can be bought with fiat money. Moreover, it remains the only coin that you can obtain comfortably without any technical skill just with the use of intellectual power.
We mine the coins from the blockchain through creating contents (original contents) and that has been working fine so far. Although, we have to admit that, that is still possible because, so far we can still refer to ourselves as one of the earliest members. A time would come and that time is gradually unveiling itself where getting just one STEEM would be pretty difficult. The portion of STEEM given 6 months ago isn’t the same as we have now. Most would agree with the previous statement, as it is self-revealing on post payouts.
All this is to preserve the value of the coin we mine. If supply overrides demand, the implication is in the loss of value of such financial asset. We are part of something real big. And the nature of the STEEM blockchain makes the intention of the inventors clear that they truly have our good in mind. We happened to be mining on one of the apps backed by the STEEM blockchain. And if all we do is mine, it puts the ecosystem on the deficit balance of payment. We can’t keep trading the coin we mine to obtain other currencies. That’s bad for the future of steem. We can also do something good for this ecosystem. Above promoting steemit the platform, let’s promote steem the blockchain.
Focusing on steemit each time we promote will only create room for our ecosystem to be exploited by foreigners. What do I mean by that? I will talk more about that in my next post.
