Good evening guys, this is @bait002 the founder of the offline minnows school where minnows are mentored and groomed. I would like to talk about what we all might be regretting in the next few years or even months.

Most of us heard about steemit the platform and the only intention we came here with was to take and take until there’s nothing else to take from here. We were told about the steemit but we were never told about steem. Unfortunately, most steemians can’t really differentiate between the three currencies this economy is built upon. And the implication is that we can’t tell what the effect of the decisions we take on those coins would have on the overall market cap of the STEEM blockchain. Hold on a bit, I think I still have to define the concept market cap;
>by market cap we mean market capitalization; this means the amount of steem in the blockchain compared to every other cryptocurrencies in the coin market. Bitcoin so far, has the biggest market cap and of course we can see the implication.

I know we love steemit, because of what it has to give to us; what it has been giving to us. With my little emotional experience, I was able to gather facts that when someone loves, they give to whatever or whoever it is they claim to love. If we love what we are a part of, we would give to it and make sure it never lacks. We keep mining and never trade in favour of the currency we hold. The implication is that the market cap keeps depleting. Do you know why we have variations in the exchange rates of various countries?
>the major reason why naira is cheap compared to dollar is because, we have made naira surplus in the foreign exchange market compared to dollar. Same goes for every currency pair in the world. Whether cryptocurrency or fiat currency.

Each time we take STEEM to the market as a supply we give room for its devaluation. The more STEEM we have in the market for sale, spells out supply and the implication of excessive supply is a fall in price. We keep selling and never buy. I was able to communicate this to some student at the offline minnow school and one of them actually made the move few weeks ago, during the time when STEEM was $2+ now she is in a good profit position. Whatever you are giving for love is never lost.

Most of us love steemit so much we want it here forever. We will always have STEEM, STEEMIT and many applications built to be backed by steem. The advent of SMT’s will also mean good for the overall ecosystem, but we have to make a conscious decision backed with determination never to be the reason why the market cap depletes but instead why more value comes in. one of the best ways to get that done is to ensure that we talk about STEEM the crypto more than we talk about STEEMIT the social media.
