I am so tired of hearing this debate about literally anything being attributed to climate change.   The Outer Banks in North Carolina, in case you are not aware, is a thin strip of islands that the state has kept from eroding into the ocean for as long as I have been alive and for decades prior to that.

These places are considered the mainland but anyone with a half-functioning brain can easily see that if it weren't for engineering and human stubbornness, these islands connected by dredged earth and bridges would have been washed over by the ocean AGES ago if it weren't for the money that keeps getting pushed into it.

The fact of the matter is that this part of North Carolina, like other places in the country and the world that was built too close to sea level, was always going to have these issues.  This is why this is some of the most expensive real-estate in the world.  I have lived in North Carolina my entire life and we have been hit by multiple hurricanes basically every single year that I have been alive.  It wasn't until recent years that they started calling this very natural phenomenon something that was being caused by "climate change."   

Years ago they tried briefly to call it "global warming" but this tactic was abandoned when it was determined that temperatures were actually fluctuating.

Hurricanes have been striking this coast of the United States since forever and there are geologists out there that can show that this very normal natural disaster is actually the reason why the United States is shaped the way it is.   This is not something that has changed since we came up with combustion engines.

In the past two years I have seen the same level of hurricane damage that I have witnessed the rest of my life and any time that a hurricane is weak the media says nothing.  Anytime that a hurricane is strong, which is something that has happened fairly regularly for my entire life, the media say "see!  climate change!"  

I don't know why they do this but it is just never ending.  I don't know what the objective here is but for anyone that tries to at least look at some real data, the story of the media blaming everything on climate change just doesn't stand up.

You'll never see statistics like this on the news or with the holders of the propaganda because if the people were to know that since we have had reliable instruments to measure these things that the frequency of hurricanes are actually going DOWN and honest professionals can showcase that this fluctuation is a very normal part of the planet.  

No, they don't want you to have the truth, they want to take a singular event, highlight some very selective information about it by manipulating the statistics to suit their objective and then, I don't even know what... I guess push for political change of some sort?  

I'm not a scientist:  I work in construction.  However, when some blowhard on the news tries to come along and say that the same thing that I have been experiencing my entire life is somehow different now than it was before when I KNOW that it isn't, it kind of makes me upset.
