Darby ran away from me this morning for absolutely no reason at all. She is certainly a skittish dog, a medium sized rottweiler who doesn't really listen all that well, but still, has known me for well over a year, and I have cared for her multiple times before today..

And multiple times before had I allowed her outside with me while I work, without a leash on, and without an issue. She has always been a good pooch, staying on the property, until this morning.

She ran all the way across the golf course where she was eventually corralled into a fenced area and caught using a neck leash snare thinger that dog-pound people use. Then police escorted Darby to the local animal rescue league where she we eventually called to learn she was safe. Phew.

Had me worked up though, and in this blazing heat, I was very worried for her sake.

After the initial search and yell for her around the property, thinking she didn't go too far.. (boy was I wrong) I decided I would see if I could spot her using the birdcam.. unfortunately I had no success with the drone but while I was up there decided I would snag few quick sky photos, as the storm front that passed this morning was almost all but cleared out, and the line of clouds associated was very distinctly visible to the South.

Once the atmospheric conditions which allowed for the formation of these awesome looking stratus and cumulostratus clouds moved further South, the Sun shone all day for my lovely plants to enjoy again.
