THE LONELIEST TREE IN THE WORLD CAME FROM SOUTH AFRICA

<p>It is standing in the Kew gardens in the U.K. but it actually came from South Africa.&nbsp;</p>
<p>If this was not for one man that saw the tree, and decided to take a piece to the U.K. there would not even be one left.&nbsp;</p>
<p>We forget to teach children that there are trees that need female and male trees to be able to make new trees and fruit.&nbsp;</p>
<p>One of them is the avocado tree and for it to produce fruit you need to have both male and female not growing too far apart.</p>
<p>Here is a tree that works the same but unfortunately there is only the one.&nbsp;</p>
<p>That is the reason why we cannot produce more of them.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It is a beautiful cycad tree that is kept growing in the Kew gardens.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It is sad if you think where the origin is and we have nothing to show for it. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
