At least initially, I don't think SMTs and Communities will have much positive impact at all on the price of STEEM and/or network effects within the ecosystem because anyone thinking about launching an SMT or Community is already (or should be) testing the concept on Steem Engine. In the long run, however, making Steem a meta-token platform is a huge plus.
