Hoy es el último día del concurso, y quiero participar, no por ganar un premio, sino para expresar mi gran AGRADECIMIENTO a STEEMIT. (Invito a @lisfabian, @helenguilarte2, @petrarodriguez)

Conocí a steemit en el año 2017, o mejor dicho, mi esposo conoció steemit en el año 2017, debido a que nuestra situación económica en ese año estuvo muy afectada negativamente por la situación en mi país. Mi esposo y yo trabajábamos y el sueldo de los dos no alcanzaba para cubrir los gastos "básicos" de un hogar. 

>I met steemit in 2017, or rather, my husband met steemit in 2017, because our economic situation in that year was very negatively affected by the situation in my country. My husband and I worked and the salary of both of us was not enough to cover the "basic" expenses of a home.

Llegó el momento en que tuvimos que sacar a nuestra hija mayor, del colegio privado en el que estuvo desde el maternal, pudimos inscribirla en Julio de ese año para que cursara el 2do. grado de primaria, y cuando empezaron las clases en septiembre, hicieron un reajuste de mensualidad que no podíamos pagar. Tuvimos que tomar la decisión de sacarla del colegio e inscribirla en un colegio público.

>The time came when we had to take our eldest daughter out of the private school where she had been since kindergarten, we were able to enroll her in July of that year to attend the 2nd grade of primary school, and when classes began in September, they did a monthly readjustment that we could not pay. We had to make the decision to remove her from private school and enroll her in a public school.

En ese momento, mi esposo empezó a buscar por internet alternativas para obtener ingresos extras, ya habíamos oído de personas que trabajaban por internet. Estuvimos orando para que Dios nos permitiera conseguir información acerca de cómo obtener ingresos extras en internet de manera confiable y, fue en esa semana que mi esposo encontró información acerca de STEEMIT. 

>At that time, my husband began to search online for alternatives to obtain extra income, we had already heard of people who worked online. We were praying that God would allow us to get information about how to earn extra income on the internet in a reliable way and, it was in that week that my husband found information about STEEMIT.

Él estuvo viendo videos en youtube y cada día me contaba a cerca de esa plataforma que te recompensaba por publicar,  la verdad que para mi eso no tenía lógica, a tal punto que mi esposo se registro en diciembre 2017 y yo le dije que esperaría ver los resultados. 
>He was watching videos on YouTube and every day he told me about that platform that rewarded you for publishing, the truth is that for me that did not make sense, to the point that my husband registered in December 2017 and I say him that I would expect to see the results.

Él estaba muy entusiasmado y cada día investigaba más acerca de cómo trabajar en la plataforma, todo lo que aprendimos fue de manera autodidáctica porque no tuvimos nadie que nos recomendara steemit ni que nos explicara como hacer las cosas. Gracias a Dios los videos en youtube nos fueron de gran ayuda.

>He was very enthusiastic and every day he investigated more about how to work on the platform, everything we learned was self-taught because we had no one to recommend steemit or explain how to do things. Thank God the videos on youtube were of great help to us.

En Enero del 2018 la situación estaba más crítica aún. Yo trabajaba en una empresa pública y allí a pesar de ser Licenciada, con el sueldo de mi quincena no podía comprar ni un kilo de queso completo, esto es literalmente hablando, no es exageración. Me sentía deprimida, haber estudiado tanto y esforzarme tanto en mi trabajo para que no pudiera comprar ni un kilo de queso cuando cobraba mi quincena. Mi esposo era quien costeaba todo y sin embargo, no podía con "todo", a penas con lo más necesario.

>In January 2018 the situation was even more critical. I worked in a public company and there despite being a graduate, with my fortnight's salary I could not buy a kilo of whole cheese, this is literally speaking, it is not an exaggeration. I felt depressed, having studied so much and trying so hard in my work so that I could not buy even a kilo of cheese when I collected my fortnight. My husband was the one who paid for everything and yet he could not handle "everything", barely with the most to buy necessary.

Allí comencé a prestar atención a lo que mi esposo hacía en steemit. Él publicó todo el mes de diciembre pero nunca buscó información de cómo cobrar lo que ganaba y allí fue donde yo me interesé más. Conocimos una exchange donde se podía cambiar las monedas por bolívares y me registré en enero del año 2018 y comencé a publicar.

>There I began to pay attention to what my husband was doing in steemit. He published the entire month of December but he never looked for information on how to collect what he earned and that was where I became most interested. We met an exchange where you could exchange coins for bolivars and I registered in January 2018 and started publishing.

No fue fácil, recuerdo que había una persona que tenía un challenge donde debías publicar una foto diaria de tu hijo y alllí comencé, el voto era de 0,03 y eso para mi era waaaao. Todos los días publicaba y  el precio de la moneda era alto, que a pesar de que los votos eran tan pequeños, STEEMIT nos fue ayudando con los gastos del hogar.

>It was not easy, I remember there was a person who had a challenge where you had to post a daily photo of your son and there I started, the vote was 0.03 and that for me was waaaao. Every day I published and the price of the coin was high, that despite the fact that the votes were so small, STEEMIT was helping us with the household expenses.

STEEMIT es parte de nuestra vida hoy en día, es mi trabajo actual donde gracias a Dios puedo trabajar tranquilamente en mi casa sin salir a exponerme ante esta pandemia, puedo dedicar tiempo a mis hijas y aún nos sigue ayudando. Es por eso que estoy agradecida primeramente a Dios por permitirnos conocer esta extraordinaria plataforma,  y seguidamente agradecida con STEEMIT por todo lo que nos ha permitido lograr.

>STEEMIT is part of our life today, it is my current job where, thank God, I can work quietly at home without going out to expose myself to this pandemic, I can spend time with my daughters and it still continues to help us. That is why I am first grateful to God for allowing us to get to know this extraordinary platform, and then I am grateful to STEEMIT for all that he has allowed us to achieve.

Tal vez no me vean publicando a diario, quisiera hacerlo, pero la verdad no me da tiempo. Dedico más tiempo en curar, es algo que me apasiona porque recuerdo aquellos días en los que comencé aquí... esos días en los que revisaba mi publicación cruzando los dedos  para saber si alguien más había votado. Me gusta eso, saber que puedo aportar un poco de valor al trabajo de alguien que tal vez sea nuevo, o la publicación tan esmerada de alguien que nos cuenta sus vivencias. Hay muchas personas acá   que lo hacen muy bien y que tal vez no tengo tiempo para dejarles un comentario largo, pero sí puedo dejarles un voto y un comentario corto de la comunidad para la cual trabajo (@dsc-r2cornell) haciéndoles saber que su trabajo ha sido valorado.  

>You may not see me publishing daily, I would like to, but the truth is that I don't have time. I spend more time curating, it's something I'm passionate about because I remember those days when I started here... those days when I would check my post crossing my fingers to see if someone else had voted. I like that, knowing that I can add a little value to the work of someone who may be new, or the careful publication of someone who tells us about his experiences. There are many people here who do it very well and that maybe I don't have time to leave a long comment, but I can leave you a vote and a short comment from the community for which I work (@dsc-r2cornell) letting them know that their work has been valued.
