# HOW? 

How did I get so blinded by his cuteness? 

How did I get so deafened by his sweet talks? 

How did I not see all this at the very beginning?

**How did I miss the warning signals glaring at me all those times?**

 When his phone rings, he goes away from where I am to answer the call. He receives disturbing messages from an unknown person...*How could I have been so careless?*

He came to me like my knight in shining armour, everything about him was perfect. His sweet voice kept me dreaming about him, his soft touch kept me awake at night, his profession of love was so real. I do not understand, he said he loved me....so how could he have done that to me?

We loved each other, I was into him and I thought he was too.. Infact I thought I could settle down with him and live in that fantasy world I built for us... But no, he has other plans. 


I was going to pay him a surprise visit at his apartment so I did not call him before heading there. I made his favorite meal and I was so excited as I wanted to see the look on his face and how happy I thought he would be. I got there and used my keys for his apartment, only to see my *so called knight in shining armour* in the arms of another lady being all cozy together.


At first it was like I was frozen, I  tried to move but I could not, I tried to scream his name but nothing came out, I was just there staring at my foolishness.... How could I have been so foolish to trust him? I mean How could he have done such a thing to me? Apologies could not do the trick for me as I just wanted to disappear at that moment. 

How could he cheat....?



Then the questions came.....*Am I not good enough? Am I not beautiful anymore? What did I do wrong? Where did it go wrong?*



Well, as I sat to think about it, I got the answer of **"How**".....How this could happen was because I allowed myself to love someone, depend on someone and built my world around that person...I allowed myself to trust, giving him the weapon to hurt me. 

Maybe....*just maybe* if I had studied him closely, take note of the warning signs whatever it is that I would have done, then I would not have gotten into a *"ship*" with him. But then again can you fully understand a person's mind or intentions?  We just trust blindly with the hope that the trust given would not be broken.
