I never really liked myetherwallet or the idea of generating a wallet via a browser. I guess you can still download the source and do it yourself if you're really worried but I think a Trezor or a ledger is more sensible. OH and screw those Harvard professional government stooges.

Anything can happen in crypto the drama, FUD, scams. this is the wild wild west and in the future we will see a lot.

This is why people should use a Ledger Nano S with MEW

MyEtherWallet is trash, always getting hacked. Always people loosing their tokens, we need a better option.

**DNS Poinsoning attack:**
- DNS (Domain Name Service) translates IP adresses to domains (like myetherwallet.com)
- When an attacker is able to change the entry in this service your URL seems okay but it is linked to the "malicous" IP. 
- The attacker sets up a phishing Site, which looks like the original one. With this the Keys can get harvested

Fake news or not---being influenced into hardware wallets &/or paper wallets--is a GOOD THING. Paper wallets generated under strict safety protocols are probably more secure than anything. They do not require a proprietary device to access your funds. It would truly suck to have to hunt down a specific device in difficult times to be able to have access to funds. Another thing to consider---what if Nano & or Trezor went out of business. The devices themselves would then become a high store of value to the community that depends upon them.

@boxmining I'm not sure how MEW can evne be hacked - after all it is not an exchange and is only an interface for anybody to generate addresses and receive private keys for tokens they hold on the Ethereum Blockchain, isnt it?
