-----------

It is hard to believe that it has been close to twenty days that I was in the hospital for the infected wound on my leg. I have been having weekly visits to the wound clinic and @mrsbozz has been changing my bandage for me every day after I shower.

Yesterday at the wound clinic they told me that it is 19% healed and the doctor guessed as long as everything goes well it could be fully healed in six to eight weeks. That still seems like a long way off, but I know it is slowly getting better.

They are finally to the point where they think all of the dead tissue is gone and the new growth should start in full force. I hope that is the case, the idea of having an open wound on my leg is still a little unsettling. On top of that, the nerves have started to grow back, so the pain can be pretty intense at times.

As expected, the bills have already started to come in. A couple of years ago our work needed to save some money so the majority of us got moved to a high deductible plan. The family deductible for my wife and I is $2700. We are already at that threshold and it isn't even halfway through the year. Typically we never come close to that number except for the year that I had my cancer diagnosis etc.

Luckily we have an HSA (health savings account) that we have been putting money into and that helps offset the cost of those deductibles. I need to contact our provider today and see if we are set or if they are going to nickel and dime us via the "out of pocket maximum" which goes up to $4500.00.

## Shopping
----------

The last couple of weeks my wife and I have been having our groceries delivered to our door using a service called Instacart or something like that. It has worked out fairy well, but we like being able to pick out our own produce and stuff like that. Along with that, we have been purchasing groceries not just for ourselves, but for both of our parents as well. This leads to some pretty big orders each week.

Yesterday, we decided that we wanted to make a trip to our favorite grocery store. It is called Meijer and it is basically like a Walmart, but it's a regional chain. So there we were, with two carts in tow going through our lengthy grocery list.

They had added arrows on the floor to keep the flow of traffic through the aisles "one way". Of course no one but us was adhering to those.

We were actually fairly shocked at the number of people who were in the store. They had workers keeping track of everyone who came in and went out, I am assuming they probably have a limit on the number of people in the store. It felt like all of them were in the grocery section though. On top of that, I would say probably half of them were not wearing masks.

I'm not looking for a debate on how important it is to wear a mask. The government says we should although the president said in the next breath he wouldn't be wearing one. I get they are a pain and hard to breathe in, but isn't it better to be cautious than not?

There were still quite a few things that they were out of. Quality produce was in rare supply, there was absolutely no yeast. Beans are still seeing a huge run and we were lucky enough to snag one hidden ball of frozen pizza dough. They had one small section of toilet paper but luckily we didn't need that.

Needless to say, it will probably be a while before we head out to the store again. I have a feeling our next trip we will go back to the delivery service. There is something really nice about having the groceries just show up on your doorstep!
