OUR 17Y OLD SON HAS ITS FIRST DRIVINGLESSON

In the Netherlands you are able to take drivers lessons from the age of 17, and our son has been 17 for two weeks now so we surprised him with his first driving lesson today. We told him at 10 oclock and now at 11.30 he is nervous as €&(/!%¥

He is going to drive into the city Rotterdam and Will be back in 1,5 hours. He has prepared with the theory book and hopes he Will drive away before we See the car engine going to off. Or that we Will make a vlog about the first time mistakes.

You are one awesome mom in being there to support your son's first driving lesson. My daughter is the same age as your son and she is very eager to get her student's license. Hopefully by next year. Soon your son will be driving around town a lot and I wish him all the best in his driving experience.

Oh man, I don't envy him at all. I recently visited Amsterdam and would not want to drive anywhere near there. The traffic is crazy, with cars AND bikes AND scooters, AND pedestrians everywhere. Whew! I'm taking public transportation next time I go there, that's for sure.

I'm 29, no drivers licence, kind of proud of it, but a little bit tired :) If sb would make me a gift like you to your son, probably I would drive now. Anyway, maybe next year this will change :D

How awesome! The first time driving can be quite the milestone. Our last daughter just got her driver's license this past summer. It can be nerve wracking, but it is so nice to see them succeeding and growing up! Good luck to you!
