Bucky Plays @reinhard-schmid's "The Spy" - Musical Interpretation/Curation

Steemit has some original thinkers and @reinhard-schmid is one of them! His work always makes me think.

His work pushes a lot of my buttons. Oftentimes he takes something which is beautiful and suggests that there are inner workings that we may not be aware of at first glance. Perhaps a lovely animal upper body with mechanical legs. Perhaps a beautiful woman with exposed gears.

@reinhard-schmid presents soft beauty in all his works. Even items that are inherently hard and utilitarian in their purpose @reinhard-schmid makes them look inviting. I struggle with concept in interpreting his works musically. How does one sound this way? I believe it is a knife edge musically - violent harsh playing while maintain a soft inviting aura. I love a challenge.

I decided to work on @reinhard-schmid's work "The Spy" because it possesses all his wonderful characteristics, but also addresses the social issue of privacy, of which I have VERY strong feelings.

Wow. The sharp accents and scratching sounds help to convey the sort of disjointed feel that the mechanical apparatus depicted in the painting portrays. Punctuated by moments of tonal quality, your sonic interpretation also manages to convey the organic components of the machine. Mind bending, a bit terrifying, perhaps like crawling bugs. Kind of makes your skin crawl. I thought this was a really cool idea and very well executed. Sorry about your fiddle's tuning, though :)
