La ciencia ficción militar.

<p>Dentro de las posibilidades que ofrece la ciencia ficción, los futuros militaristas son bastante delicados. La opinión general es desfavorable hacia estos escenarios, ya que se entiende como medio de propaganda o de glorificación de la guerra y del soldado dentro de la sociedad.</p>

<p>Sin embargo, estos futuros deben evaluarse, porque ante un mundo cada día más convulsionado, pareciera que la fuerza es el "lenguaje" que se impone. Junto a una sórdida competencia por influir en el público, para lograr metas cada vez menos comprensibles.</p>

<p>La ciencia ficción militar, plantea sociedades regidas por la inseguridad, la incertidumbre constante obliga al ciudadano a ceder ante una ilusión de protección absoluta ofrecida por la milicia. La libertad política y de pensamiento, pasa a un segundo plano o es anulada para enfocar los esfuerzos colectivos hacia la causa del guerrero, quien representa el "ciudadano modelo".</p>

<p>La supervivencia del colectivo está por encima de cualquier otra prioridad y sólo se aprueba acciones individuales, si éstas reportan un beneficio para la integridad de la sociedad. Caso contrario, se le criminaliza o desdeña.</p>

<p>El gobierno está fuertemente permeado por los militares, hasta el punto de modificar su estructura o anular la participación ciudadana. De existir líderes políticos, su mentalidad no difiere de los militares y se apoyan en ellos para mantener el orden.</p>

<p>La propaganda nunca acaba en una sociedad militarista, ésta se emplea hasta el paroxismo para mantener la cohesión de todos los miembros de la sociedad y avivar "la causa". El fanatismo y la "voluntad de sacrificio" impera en la mentalidad del ciudadano.</p>

<p>La guerra, en la mayoría de las obras de este género, se le entiende como algo natural del ser humano, como el único estado de auténtica plenitud que puede gozar un individuo. El combate, la confrontación virulenta, es un medio para alcanzar "la gloria".</p>

<p>La sociedad vive siempre alerta, expectante ante la posibilidad del ataque de un enemigo. Jámas descansa en crear nuevos medios defensivos para rechazar cualquier amenaza que exista o, en el peor de los casos, se invente para justificar los "ideales" belicistas impuestos.</p>
