<div class="text-justify"> The world is involved in a generalized economic crisis, the instability of markets, the participation of new actors in international competitiveness, generates uncertainty, from which Venezuela does not escape. This country is currently going through a situation that is affecting the entire economic sector and that involves the actors of the productive process, therefore, it is necessary that organizations refine their administrative processes to make them increasingly efficient and thus remain in the market, which is equivalent for each sector of the economy. It is worth mentioning that this market is the only one supplied by domestic production; however, recent economic events have caused production and demand to decrease. Hence, the importance of making a review of the administrative processes in these companies dedicated to the production of eggs, to see where corrections should be made to increase their competitiveness in the market.

As many of us know, the culinary culture of the people indicates which foods are preferred by them; in the Venezuelan case, one of these products is eggs, which are rich in proteins. According to the newspaper La Nación (2012), referring to the National Federation of Poultry Farming of Venezuela (Fenavi), egg consumption increased by 2.4% compared to the previous year, going from 164 units per person to 168. Notwithstanding the above, by 2014 there was a decrease in egg production in the country, according to Chourio (2014), who points out that according to data from the president of the Institute for Research and Promotion of Egg Consumption (Inprohuevos), Andrés Layrisse, in 2012, there was a decrease in egg production in the country, by 2012 there were between 22 and 23 million laying hens in the country and explains that by that date there was a shift from chickens to hens, which allowed a rise in production and consequently lowered prices, but this year general conditions have led to a decrease in the number of animals in lay.

By August 2014, Venezuela had 17 million animals in lay, which allows supplying the domestic egg market; however, this represents a decrease compared to 2012, and with this it is possible to visualize the appearance of a shortage crisis of this product for 2015, since consumption and demand are increasing, but production is decreasing. For 2015 the picture is different, however, it is outlining a behavior of the egg market in the country, the price has increased by more than 128% according to eltiempo.com (2015), where it is noted that this increase has also meant a decrease in consumption of this product. All this means that poultry companies, especially those dedicated to laying hens, must assume strategies that allow them to face the instability of the market, as well as the constant changes in government policies and that affect the industry. At present, egg production has remained stable but its consumption by the population has decreased due to its high cost. At present, a carton of eggs has a value of 5.14 dollars, which is equivalent in bolivars to 25.38 Bs.

In this context, it should be noted that companies must have the ability to adapt to the changes imposed by the external environment, in the face of economic crises that affect their cost structure and their financial planning, they must review their administrative processes to identify the positive and negative aspects, and improve those that are causing problems that lead to low levels of efficiency. In this sense, Koontz, Weihrich and Cannice (2008), state that the organizations of the 21st century must take into account aspects such as globalization, technology and the way of orienting personnel, in addition to this, the way companies are organized has changed looking for the practicality of their actions.

In the case of Venezuelan companies, they must face external aspects that hinder their performance, such as foreign exchange control, inflation, governmental and fiscal regulations in labor matters, therefore, the cost structure is negatively affected, forcing private organizations to take increasingly strict measures to ensure the highest possible level of efficiency. One way to deal with such a situation is through a review of your administrative process, which is composed of four specific functions: planning, organization, direction and control.</div>
