The Word of God offers us a verse that illustrates very well what becomes envy. It is in Proverbs chapter 14, verse 30, that it says: The peaceful heart is the life of the flesh; but envy is a worm-eaten thing, that is, it erodes and destroys the lives of those who have an envious heart. There is nothing wrong when you long for something, or when you admire a successful person, who is prosperous and has achieved his life goals.
