So, a month after the Bangladesh tournament, the T20 series between Sri Lanka and England starts today in search of victory. For those who have not been able to watch a cricket match of the Sri Lankan team for a month, that time will dawn again from tomorrow. So this tournament consists of 03 T20 matches and 03 ODI's. It will be held from June 23 to July 4.

**Kusal Perera**, who is facing his first T20 captaincy, will lead the tournament. The Sri Lanka squad for England Tournament is as follows:

It is after 2016 that the Sri Lanka team will face a T20 tournament in England this year.  The details of the T20 matches between the two countries so far are as follows:

Playing with England, the No.01 team in the rankings, is a challenge for the Sri Lankan team. Another reason is that in the Bangladesh tournament as well as in this tournament, the majority of the Sri Lankan squad is made up of new players. No matter how well new players play in local tournaments, they fail due to their lack of experience in international matches. For this, the senior players must support them. I think the leadership of Kusal Perera will be a great help to them.

Of course, my biggest wish is to see **"Dananjaya Lakshan"** playing in the T20 tournament. However, he was unfortunately injured during training on the 14th. However, at a media briefing held today, Captain Kusal Perera stated that he is currently recovering.  We were all amazed at his performance in the LPL. *According to Lasith Malinga, Dananjaya Lakshan is one of the most wanted players in the Sri Lanka Cricket Team for the 2023 Cricket World Cup.* We hope he will be able to play in this tournament.

All Sri Lankan cricket fans are waiting for the Sri Lankan team to win the match at a time when winning matches is a dream. If Sri Lanka can beat England, the No. 01 teams in the rankings, the spring of Sri Lankan cricket will dawn again. So my only wish is that the Sri Lankan team will be able to win all the T20 and ODI matches.
