"Beaver Pond"

Painted on location near Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico, in the Sangre de Cristo mountains.

I lived in New Mexico for a long time and now I'm back!  I'll be moving into a new studio on Wednesday near Carlsbad where I'll be setting up "artist command central."  From here, I'll go on painting excursions all around The Land of Enchantment, painting on location and taking reference photos for studio work.

 I'm so pumped!  I love it when new opportunities open up, especially now since I've found a permanent place to call home.  This fact alone gives me the confidence that I can settle into my work in a great studio space and build momentum without many distractions.  (As opposed to being the nomad I've been for many years.)
 
 This is important to me because I find my greatest happiness in creating good work.

I will continue to live in my RV (a 28' travel trailer) on my own lot and this building will be my new work space....
