GIVING THE BEST ADVISE ON HOW TO PRESERVE THE CULTURE IN MY TRIBE KOM

From there I guest you guys can best know me 


    I will start this contest by given you a brief history of my tribe KOM.

KOM is amongs the most biggest ethnic groups in the northwest region of Cameroon .KOM is found in the northwest region of Cameroon and it is situeted in the BOYO division. BOYO division is subdivided into 4subdivisions namely Fundong,Belo,Njinikom and Mbingo and this areas can be reached from Bamenda through the Ring-Road that was constructed by the Germans.

 I will further go by talking about our culture
 
our traditional meal happens to be fufu corn and Karti-Karti[choped fowl mixed with red oil].we love fufu corn so much because we cultivate corn in large quanties both during rainy and dry season

we have numerous dance groups but the two main ones are the CHONG and NJANG which performs in so many occations including funerials ceremony,mariages,born house and cultural days

kom society also place great emphasi on respect for elders.we have so many types of mascurates like nkoh,ma-buh,quih-foin,na-ntang etc and we have our renounce and very popular afo-akum which is harving somany powers

kom society is patriarchal in nature e.g us male children holds a vast majority of power and previlege over the women as they mostly labour in dometic roles like in the kitchen and farm works,
kom also has a pronouce language known as kom talk or we still call it ITANGIKOM,
Kom also has a matrilineal succesion which continues but on the mother side instead of the fathers side in such a way that when an adult male dies ,ownership of his property including his wives,compounds an children are all inherited by his nephew[the son of his sister ]


   i wil now talk on how i can give my best advice so  as to preserve my culture kom


-We should always make sure to preserved it by representing our lifestyle and identity anywhwere we go.
-Always make sure wepreserve it by holding our cultural activities such as dance and holding meetings and discusing about developement no matter where we are.example ,here in mile3 bamenda,we always have our KSUD[kom students union developement]meeting every end of month to discuss about our culture and somany other things.

When time for culture meeting always reach you need to be dress in traditional attire 😋

-We should also include our cultural activities in school curriculum so as to educate our chilren about our culture.eg you can also intoduce our language as one of the subjects in schools 
-W should also make sure to establish our cultural foundation/organisation so as we can meet and think of different ideas so as to encourage developement in our culture
-We should make sure to speak our language on daily bases no matter where we go and where we live so as to preserve our tradition
-We should make sure not to ever treat our kom tradition as ancient tradition and we should preserve our tradition also by telling stories and history about our beloved kom tradition


why i can boost of giving my best advice in preserving our KOM culture is simply because we have a good legacy and heritage👌💪.I'm a proud Bikom-man
