Doodletrends Drawing Contest: Beets

Hello Steemians,

What a vibrant color a beet has. I got inspired by it and this time I for the first time used a background color similar to that of beets. My previous entries for doodletrends have black background to make the design pop. It was a bit of a gamble for me because I'm not sure if it will work but I think it did. 

For the base I used the colors green and this shade that comes close to the color of beets. After drawing the theme I added a layer where I painted a darker shade of beets for depth. I also added highlights on the leaves to further emphasize their pattern. Overall I love the visual appeal of this drawing hope you like it
