I remember very well, despite being small, this wonderful series of cartoons, created to explain to the little ones how our body works and in detail the individual organs. It is really difficult to think of explaining to young people what the heart, the liver, the brain are in simple and nice designs.

The designer had a brilliant mind because he managed to represent all the characters with unique characteristics: I remember well the viruses with those rather ugly, angular faces, always careful not to be found by macrophages and leukocytes, while the good ones usually were distinguished by faces much more serene and harmonious and smiling.

The oldest and most bearded was the head of the whole organism and in a sympathetic and sometimes severe way he directed and coordinated all the organs. Every action is described in a simple and linear way and the drawings help to keep the concepts imprinted in the mind. We are at the end of the 80s and the drawings were certainly not as precise and clear as the modern ones but Once Upon a Time ... Life is really a life lesson.

I was so in love with the series of cartoons that in those years came out the children's encyclopedias of the human body with a man-made mannequin and a woman-sized mannequin with all the organs to be assembled. Really very educational! I recommend it to nostalgics and future doctors. They make the concepts much clearer than the books.

I noticed that a few days ago in Italy it was included in the programming of Netflix and this says a lot about how much the series that has French origin is loved and only after it has been translated into other languages. It is a collector's item due to its rarity and actual value.
