Antico Panificio Adriatico

Today it is a party in the city and everywhere there is the smell of frying, panzerotti and more. Attracted by the lingering smell, we entered a bakery hidden in a narrow street in the historic city center.

The bakery is quite small and few people come in but I was impressed by the amount of food exposed. The shop windows are full of culinary delicacies and there is an abundant presence of stuffed trousers.

In addition to the classic ***calzone***, like a stuffed focaccia, there is also one based on turmeric or cereals, stuffed with turnips and sausage or onion. There is also a good variety of fried panzerotti, potato croquettes and lots of other really good food.

I chose the calzone with the onion whose aroma is particularly intense but I have a passion for onion. The dough is a little low but the dressing is full-bodied and slightly oily but really very tasty although a little heavy to digest.
