A community is essentially a group of people who have a lot in common or share a common interest. There are several communities on Steemit, and most of us are members of at least one of them. I assume that until the latest community for the month support was enrolled, many more communities would have been added to the previously existing ones. Creating a community isn't the issue; it's keeping it alive, growing it, and  making it self-sustaining that is the big issue.

Most us have often failed to contribute or give our support to building a stronger community which we belong and this is seen in our behavior in the communities. Some just drop their post and that's the end, failing to comment on other people's post is failing to help any steem community you belong.

If no one leaves a comment for us, none of us will know how we are doing. Commenting may immensely assist an author in growing, improving, and feeling appreciated for all of the work that goes into creating a great post. 





Furthermore, we may assist our communities by contributing our small upvotes to assist others. I don't see the point in withholding my votes when giving them out will result in valuable Steem returns, increasing my steem power. On Steemit, every upvote is worth something, so we must all learn to make the most of what we have for the benefit of all. 

With the drop in the Steem price and low upvotes, user activity in communities that never got selected  for the community of the month has substantially decreased, according to my observations. If we all start working as a team, we can significantly enhance user activity and member retention. Our community's success is determined on our willingness to collaborate as a group.</div>
