“Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Yet not my will but yours be done.”Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. In his anguish he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like large drops of blood falling on the ground.  When he got up from prayer, he went to the disciples and found them asleep from sorrow. He asked them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and keep on praying that you may not be tempted.” Luke 22:42-46

Jesus experience in Gethsemane was one that tells us how much we all need strength from above to keep us going in life and also to face the biggest challenge ahead. 

His soul was exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death,  a point where he wanted to give up his mission and let his own will prevail. 

His human aspect wanted to skip the cup of adversity, pain and death while his spirit still wants to follow God's will. These were trying times in the life of the Christ, the spirit is willing but the body was weak. 

Despite the feeling of sorrow and anguish he still remembered to do one thing that gives him strength to gain an upper hand over the natural and that is prayer. He prayed more earnestly to the point where there was a great shift in his body and spirit. 

Through prayer an angel was assigned to minister to him and to strengthen him for the battle ahead. Jesus couldn't have done it all by himself but with heavenly visitation he could go through the troubles ahead and come out victoriously... hallelujah! 

Friends we should underestimate the power of prayer. Any time we pray we get a heavenly backing over any situation that seems insurmountable.

God gives us strength in times of weakness and when we are weak, His strength is made perfect in our lives. 

As we follow the footsteps of Christ we should always do what he did, that despite all the sorrow, the mental struggles that he experienced, he still remained prayerful. 

Prayer gives us the strength to overcome the challenges of this life and that is why we must never stop praying even when times are bad. 

Hold on and keep praying for strength is coming your way, you will surely receive a heavenly visitation and your angel will be assigned to you and give you strength.
