I've come across multiple news articles in the recent weeks regarding growing interest in big name hedge funds like Goldman Sachs being asked by clients for the option to invest in Bitcoin. I've seen lesser known companies. Offer this service for years and they have outperformed hedge funds year after year.
I'd say those without cryptos in their portfolio's are missing on huge gains. I cant imagine this news not being very bullish for cryptos longterm.
When Bitcoin is outperforming major assets and clients are asking to have access to bitcoin as a financial investment that seems to me to be the beginnings of a mass adoption scenario many bitcoin holders have been banking on.
Investors today seem focused on maintaining wealth and generating more profit. Seems the more savvy investors that have access to crypto currencies the more positive news of profit taking will come. Also will only make bitcoin more attractive to mainstream investment community.
Hedge fund managers say the volitilty is a major concern and a reason to avoid entering the space. I think That the more Bitcoin is adopted the more stable the price will be. I'd love to here what others think.
In my opinion this news will only reinforce the need for cryptos as a ligitimate long term investment option at a time when there is major concerns with the stock market and global economy as a whole.
Hedge funds have underperformed compared to the S&P 500 which yields around 7%. It makes sense for their clients to seek more profitable investment assets.
