<p>Way back 3 Months. I knew the Steemit Platform on Youtube when someone who was a journalist made a whopping $140 From her article. She shared the story how her forgotten article that was left in her USB drive turns out to be a hit in the Steemit Community. That's how @cordeta joined the platform.<br>

For weeks after joining the platform. I devoted entirely on what is the mechanics of the platform ? How are you being rewarded ? What is the differences between Resteem and Upvotes ? What is the role of witnesses? and what is curation ?<br>
<br>
Later on while going deeper and deeper i found some articles regarding "How to Make Money Fast using Upvotes". Eventually the euphoria was awakened inside me and for the next days i was holding my calculator. Putting up digits and counting possible profits. I was so excited that when i had my first SBD rewards i was literally transferred it into an Upvote bot<br>

It feels so great , knowing that the value of my post got doubled. and eventually, I started using upvote bots in a regular basis. At first it was shameful in my part due to the fact that all the transactions that i've made can be viewed by all the steemians who visits my wallet page.<br>

For my first days I was having little to none rewards to my contents . Knowing that i put countless hours, sweat and effort to create the story that i want to show off. I even use a paper and ballpen to write down the article first. Sit under the coconut tree thinking of ideas that may fall from above . LOL<br>

It feels so good having Upvotes in my side . knowing that whatever article i make they are always there to upvote me. Then i thought to myself, why should i create Articles with love and effort if i could just put any stories for the purpose of having a post? That was the most dumb thing i though for being here in Steemit. I left my computer , and again, sit below the coconut tree. After awhile my father arrived, brought some Tilapia which he bought in a nearby palengke( public market). He was heavily breathing and he was unintentionally sliding his feet across the street. I asked him "Pa, What if you were working on something then you got lazy because being truthful or not you are still getting paid"<br>
<br>
He just replied : Anak (Son) . You may cheat on games you like . You may rob without someone noticing it. You may skip class without you professor knowing it. You may tell your boss that your are done with your tasks.<br>
<br>
But you cannot cheat with your conscience. You may earn something in value of money but You will not earn the trust of anybody . You will not earn the chance of getting promotion. You will not get the chance to meet new friends. and you will not live happily.<br>
<br>
He's a strong man, a man with a few words . But he knows what is to be honored and dignified. My father is a seafarer but he is retired now, For two consecutive years he was awarded as Employee of the Year and 6 times Employee of the month. Now i know how he earned those awards. The company didn't left him after he was diagnosed with a Stage IV Lung Cancer . They gave him all the necessary medications and gave him the modern state-of-the-art healthcare. He already got the last assistance from the company . and now we rely on some donations and herbal treatments.<br>

You may post as long as you like, you may just make a story out of nothing having no value at all and just use those upvoting bots . But eventually you will not earn the trust of everybody. You will not earn some true friends. You may not able to share the true God-given talent you had.<br>
<br>
I do hope in the coming months the rewards pool might not only consist of Whale Upvoting bots . But i do hope , Writers, Poets , Photographers, Journalists, Singers, Actors, Directors, Engineers, Nurses, Doctors shall and others shall benefit more in this communty again. I do hope that more Quality posts will be visible in the Hot and trending feeds.<br>

I pledged to myself that starting today. I will not use any vote-selling upvoting bots to upvote my content. I need to earn it with pride.<br>
