Blockchain startups are about to solve the problem with DDoS attacks

Innovations with Blockchain technology appear every day. From real estate services to data processing services, these apps are an excellent demonstration of the way the Blockchain technology will reshape the face of the digital world.

Recent developments in the Blockchain development technology space can be used to end DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks, according to Inc.com. These attacks use mass queries on a site, its server is overloaded, "shuts down", and the result is a site that is inaccessible (offline) for some time.

Centralized vs. decentralized

Current systems use centralized servers to try to process the huge amount of spam that a DDoS attack generates on them. The nature of DDoS attacks makes the bandwidth necessary to process the "tsunami" of data insufficient.

The decentralized platform allows users to rent their bandwidth, which can then be unified to achieve a significantly larger amount of processed data, which significantly reduces the risk of DDoS success. According to inc.com:

>"Using a Blockchain, Maryland-based Gladius creates a system that will allow people to rent the unused bandwidth so that it can be used to harbor malicious traffic and mitigate DDoS attacks."

The decentralized platform provides a system where the unified bandwidth can be accessed and used in a way far superior to centralized single-server models where the bandwidth is limited.
