Remember Shrek with the Donkey that sounded just like Eddie Murphy? He had no patience and kept on saying "are we there yet". Sounds familiar with all the whingers on Steem who have no patience and want instant rewards and success.I hate negativity and it seems that is all we are getting around here these days.

Nothing has changed as there is still Steem to be earned the hard way. The price isn't doing great and it has slipped down the rankings in Coin Market Cap.That is the reality and you can't just expect. I think the ones who are feeling negative and depressed are the ones who want to breeze through in life riding Lambos to the moon.That is not normal by the way as hard work normally comes first.

Steem is three years old and is only just starting and now is the time to just shut up and be patient.Do an extra post or go and make some curation rewards upvoting some posts.There is still good curation to be made.Just this week I hit over 1.2 SP twice on two of my low value votes and it is hugely undervalued as an earning tool.

Yes the place is quiet and just glancing around there isn't very much to read that is interesting.I at one stage could spend hours reading posts and today I would seriously struggle.I am not complaining,but just want others to try and raise their game and do a little more.Most of the people I follow have stayed true to themselves and have kept going.

We must always keep in the back of our minds that this is the easiest Steem you are going to earn and getting stuck in now will benefit you in the long run. My head is saying 5 years from now we will be much better off and if it is sooner then great. There is nothing instant in that thinking and you won't be disappointed with whatever happens if you stick to that mindset.

Over the last year this place has changed so much for the better and that is just one year. Imagine what could be happening 4 or 5 years from now.I would expect Steem to be higher in value and a lot higher in the rankings.Steem hasn't been ready for the much wanted mass adoption and it still is obviously not ready yet.Very few people know about this place and it is going to take time and the only way it will take off is having an app that gets peoples attention.We are not there yet.

We are 3 years in and although there have been some changes, we do not have a clear direction and our only development team seems to be vacillating on what to do next.  

I'm not a donkey and I am not being negative when I say it is hard to find interesing posts, that most of my Steem Contacts spend more energy on discord than on the site and fewer and fewer people are spending any amount of time focusing on the websites.

Also, when you cut and paste from where you type, it messes up the spacing after sentences.  This post appears to have that issue.  :)

You are no donkey. I actually didn't copy and paste but wrote it on Esteem. I have an issue with the gaps and I am slowly getting better. It is true what you are saying that people spend more time on discord than on the site.

it is sometimes weird and not inspiring to post to no one. i hear that a lot of fun is on discord and i never got into it so i am missing the fun, and a lot of people i followed are not posting.

Howdy sir cryptoandcoffee! Totally agree with everything you said. All it takes is a few popular games using the blockchain or even one if it's a big enough hit and the odds of that happening are pretty good I think.
