Are you a victim of stage fright? I'm certain you are otherwise you wouldn't be reading this ;). Ain't gonna lie, over the years I've been battling with this fear. According to researchers, it was proven that the fear of public speaking is now higher than the fear of death. What does that mean? Short-and-sweet, some people would prefer death than speaking in public. 

If you going through this predicament, you're not alone. The fear of public speaking isn't something one should be proud of. Opportunely, there is a solution to this cause. 

* Understanding the origin of the fear 

Time and time again, it has been said that the best way to get rid of something is knowing why you do it in the first place. You need to first understand what makes you afraid of the public first before getting rid of it. And I'm certain one of the main reason is the fear of being embarrassed or flustered. This could be, being laughed at, judgment from the audience, or you aren't doing something right. 

deliberate where your fear originates from could also help you detect the right steps to take upon which the fear will be averted. Once something is exposed, judgment follows, once your fear is divulged, it can be subdued. 

* Change your mindset

Changing our mindset or mentality towards something will breed a different result about that particular cause. However, in order to overcome this fear, you'll need to change your mindset about it first. Rather than thinking about what the audience might say, why not focus on how you can make a perfect speech in a short time. This way, you won't need to be bothered about who or what the public might say about you.
