One of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, Huobi, has recently announced its partnership with the University of Gibraltar through its research and education platform Huobi University.


This would be the first formal collaboration of Huobi with a western university and was made official through a signing of a memorandum of understanding.

Yu commenting on the new partnership reveals that he is excited at the prospect of future collaborations between Huobi University and the University of Gibraltar such as the establishment of high quality blockchain-focused educational initiatives.


It seems that higher education institutions are looking into integrating distributed ledger technology courses into their curriculum, a fact supported by recent research conducted by Coinbase where it shows 56% of the top 50 universities in the world offering one or more classes on crypto and blockchain.
