Planting seeds and garden digging!

So in 21 march we entered officially in spring and now we have to do some planting!

We planted :
 - carrots  
 - Beets
 - salad (bulgarian lettuce or lăptucă in romanian)
 - Jerusalem artichoke  or pigs kale (romanian nap porcesc)

At first I clean with a rake the roots and small stones from the ground and then I put some pieces of wood so I can walk and just throw the seeds.

I had to dig again in the back of my house because the ground had frozen and then got mushy and became again like stone so my work from december  just ...poof... disappeared like magic.

From this part of the garden I removed the small stones the old roots and of course I removed my pig's Kale from the ground.

So guys as you can see I had a busy day, but there is something awesome that I canot explain. Each time when I plant or simply put a seed in the ground I feel like I had a small part in creating something good.
Each time when I do this it is more then a simple work, it is fun and satisfying.

@cynetyc I wish I have the same backyard mine's already a forest 
yours look very very clean
I love pastinak you have plenty of harvest!
I don't like the Jerusalem artichokes but I love their flowers I only plant them beside the conifers for the flowers they smell like vanilla.  
How do you cook them?  Perhaps you should share a recipe or two ;)

We make somethimes soup from them and even we put it in the pickle jar.But it is a excellent ideea @englishtchrivy for a recipe, because there are so many types of healthy and delicious foods that can be made from Jerusalem artichokes.
PS: When they grow big they are so strong and it is hard to remove them from the  ground but it is a good way to build muscles!

Oh, I miss parsnips here in SE-Asia! When I lived in Europe, we ate them a lot! Beautiful kitty cat btw and can't wait to see some pictures of the sprouting foods! Nothing beats homegrown. From seed to table!

They are one of the most productive plants in a garden, especially for how little care they need.
