 <p>I'm not an economist. I prefer to keep my focus on creative things like anime, games etc. and wonderful innovations. but when i see a title like this, it's hard to skip. It's an interesting idea to use these as indicators. But in some ways they are more down to Earth and pragmatic and non-abstract. The reasoning behind them makes some sense too.&nbsp;</p><h3>RVs</h3><blockquote><p>The reasoning is that if people are uncertain about their financial future, they tend to hold off on big-ticket purchases like RVs — which can cost between $10,000 and $300,000.</p></blockquote><h3>Champagne&nbsp;</h3><blockquote><p>If you’re feeling pretty good about life, you pop the cork and celebrate, right? That’s why many believe the amount of champagne that Americans drink is a predictor for U.S. income the following year</p></blockquote><p>IMHO people could just be drinking out of stupidity or to drown there sorrows too.&nbsp;</p><p>There are many other indicators explored like Lipstick, nail polish, phone repairs and even cardboard boxes. Most of them can be going all over the place for various reasons. The RV sales was the one I thought the best of. At least it was all an interesting read.&nbsp;</p><h3>&nbsp;</h3>
