There are two types of people in our family, the ones who hate and the ones who love dhal curry. Unfortunately all the males are in the first category and all the female are in the second category. Also I am in the top of the list of the second category.

When talking about the two in the first category, the ones who hate dhal curry, my little brother’s behavior makes me laugh. He hates dhal curry so that if the spoon that we used to get dhal curry accidently put into a bowl of another curry, he refuses to eat that curry too. But if that curry is chicken of fish curry, he eat that curry. Hahaha. And when we get a parcel of rice from somewhere and it doesn’t look yummy and it contains dhal curry, he refuses to eat that rice parcel. But if that parcel looks yummy, he eats the food after removing dhal curry from it. He even doesn’t touch it and makes it removed by mum. And the best way to expel my brother from somewhere is going near him with a rice with dhal curry. He is still little and always makes funny scenes.
 
Father’s behavior towards dhal curry is a bit different. He doesn’t like dhal curries which are too cooked. Though mum tries to cook it the way he likes, he never eats it as mum makes many more dishes specially for him. However he eats dhal curry when we go to his elder sister’s home. He does not stop from that. He makes mum angry by saying that his sister knows the best how to make the dhal curry. My father likes a lot to make love quarrels with her everyday. 

The one who likes dhal curry the most is me. I can eat rice only with dhal curry and papad. My mother makes dhal curry for me everyday even though she makes other curries for father and brother as she know how much angry I become when she has not made it. As well I am so thankful to the dhal curry as it is the only thing I can eat among the curries in the canteens in my university as don’t eat many of the other vegetables. 

There is someone in my family who doesn’t eat till mother reminds and forces her. That is my sister @sandu. Somedays she only eats one meal per day. She doesn’t like eating rice, so she doesn’t love dhal curry as much as I do. But when considering her preference to the other curries, it is justifiable to say that she love dhal curry.

And the remaining one to talk is the one who is transferring from the second category to the first. Earlier, she loved it and ate it everyday as me but with time she has changed a little bit. I noticed few days that she doesn’t take dhal curry when having meal so I asked her the reason. She said that she has lost the appetite for that because of eating it everyday. So now she takes it only if the other curries are not the ones that she prefers. 

That is the story of dhal curry and my family. I am smiling even while writing this post and hope you will enjoy this too.
