When the rains come and the soil is moist, this flower comes forth. Well this flower that I did not plant came up. I looked it up and in a Google search it mentions that it might be a lily.

I don't know my flowers, but yes, it might be a lily. This flower always shows up around the spring time. Nope, I didn't plant it, but it always shows up.

I guess the previous owners of the house, more than 31 years ago, liked lilies and planted them. So I guess I benefited from someone else's efforts.

Of course flowers are good for the humming bird and bees. Humming birds, that reminds me of something that happened yesterday, I was standing next to my lemon tree and I heard the flutter of wings.

It was a humming bird and it stopped by to check me out. I seen it at the corner of my eye, then it got closer, like really close to my face, just hovering in my face, then it went on its way.

That is a pretty good experience of having a humming bird that close and then coming closer. I guess it felt like I was safe to get close to.

Maybe it thought I might give it some sugar water. Well, I don't have any sugar water for the humming bird, but it was nice to have the humming bird close to me.

A while back there used to be this Blue Jay that would always come near me. Sometimes it would be on the ground and chirp at me. Also it would fly near my head, close enough to hear the flutter of its wings.

Of course it can't hover like the humming bird, but it would always like to come close to me. That was a long time ago and Blue Jays do come by, but not that Blue Jay.

Well, the life expectancy of a Blue Jay is 18 to 25 years, I got that from an article called, ANIMALLIFEEXPECTANCY
LIVE LONGER LIVE BETTER concerning Blue Jays.

Well, maybe my Blue Jay is still alive. I didn't know that they live that long, but maybe it got eaten by a hawk or an owl. I was just looking at an article called, What Predators Eat Blue Jays? That article also mentions crows.

Well, I do notice a lot of crows that like to land on my large magnolia tree.

Let's get back to the flower, the lily, that I didn't plant, but comes back every year in the spring. Isn't it a pretty flower?

Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, I the rose of Sharon, the lily of the valleys. Song of Solomon 2:1.
