_Dear friends, good afternoon, morning or evening wherever you are reading this. I want to share with us about people who afraid because of unfavourable opinions of others against them._

_The fear of being criticized prevents many from giving the best that is them. So, a lot of people sit on the fence watching others people acting. This kind of fear prevents many people from doing anything at all. The fear of being misquoted or being misrepresented has led many people to curtail the circle of their friends and confidants._

_The man who cares more for the favourable opinion of others, or one who tries to avoid tries to avoid giving offence will not speak the truth when it must be spoken. He will always pat people on their backs when his truth should disturb them. Today we remember the men of truth in the past, we do so with gratitude to God because they spoke the truth courageously. We cannot forget that in the recent past history of our nations, many patriots who spoke or wrote courageously were put behind the bars!_

_They are our men of honour. A man who is called to arbitrate in a dispute must be fair in his judgment. He must not appear to favour one side over another because of fear. His impartial judgment must disturb the guilty, but it must also be an encouragement to the innocent._

_Too often in our attempt to please others or avoid being portrayed in an unfavourably light, we tend to adopt a comprising attitude and thus give room for laziness, wrong conduct and sin to reign supreme._

My advice: When we speak the truth we must do so in love and with a view to maintaining moral integrity and not with a view to putting anybody to shame.
