The last of my newest paintings, Possessed Ash from Evil Dead II in action figure form! (Acrylic paint on a wooden cradle)

<p>Hey there, everyone! This is the final little painting out of the 3 that I received, and while it is last it's definitely not least. This little painting (It's pretty small, painted on a 4x4 wooden cradle) featured the main character Ash from Evil Dead/Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness while he was possessed by a Deadite. Instead of just doing a normal painting on possessed Ash, however, the artist asked if he could do it based upon an action figure/toy much like the other two paintings I posted over the past few days (If you missed those, I posted a Big Daddy from Bioshock and Shin Godzilla, both of which you can find on my blog page if you're interested!).&nbsp;</p>
<p>The artist found an official NECA possessed Ash action figure online which he based the design off of. I'll share the comparison picture below the paintings, so you can see the reference on what he went on. Overall, I really think this painting came out absolutely great, and I love how it looks. Mike (The artist who made it) was really excited when I told him to feel free to paint them in this form, as it let him add his own spin onto the design instead of just painting a plain old picture from a reference photo from google. I like this alternative type of style, and I'll probably have him do something a bit more odd in the future as well!&nbsp;</p>

<p>For those of you unfamiliar with the character depicted within the painting, I can only say check out Evil Dead II as it's one of my all time favorite horror films ever made. Though, it teeters onto a dark comedy/horror pretty heavily at times. If you end up liking that, then definitely check out Army of Darkness, which is a sequel while also being a bit of a reboot in a way. Anyways, while this isn't probably the exact photo he used for the painting, this is the toy that it is based off of!&nbsp;</p>

<p>Pretty good likeness I would say! Mike from over at Wonderbros definitely knocked this out of the park for me, and I am extremely happy with all of these little paintings he has done for me. I hope that this doesn't come off as me shilling for him and his company or anything, but I definitely would recommend you guys to go check out their shop and order something if you're interested in getting some artwork for yourself. Mike is the most easy going guy I've ever met running his own business, and he is very easy to work on and place orders with.&nbsp;</p>

wow this is terrific ! I am not a fan of horror movies but the painting is really great ! I wonder if it was done with gouache or oil paint ? Great job to the artist !
