Introduction

There are some traditional practices in Ghana which are alien to most foreign land. Sometimes education and technology puts doubts on some of these spiritual believes but in reality, it does happen and have effect on the lives and behaviour of the person.
* This Saturday was the day, I really had full experience on how people who are cursed in the name of the spirits in rivers and the smaller gods in Ghana. I went to the shrine of one Okomfor(spiritual) man at Hweeba who is able to reverse these curses with my cousin. He is a committee chairman in his town and in the cause of exercising his duties, he stopped a structure that was being put up by a woman. This building was going to block any further extension of the road so there was a genuine reason to stop the construction. This woman didn't take it lightly so he went behind my cousin and cursed him. I really don't understand how evil people can be so it took the intervention of someone pastor to know, my brother was cursed. So we went to this spiritual man to reserve it.
We went there with a bottle if schnapps, seven eggs from a local hen, charcoal, water fetched from a stream or River and money. We shouldn't look back when you go to fetch the water and no conversation when you go with someone.
* The process starts with pouring of libation to the gods and an egg. The spiritual man will speak to the egg in silence, he will then gave the egg to my cousin to also speak to it and beg for mercy. He did same and gave it back to the spiritual man.
The Okomfor( spiritual man) then hit the egg on the ground. When inside of the shells of the egg faces up, then it mean your request has been accepted but when they turned upside down, then your request has been turn down. He threw about 10 eggs before the gods accepted. These processes, you are not allowed to take pictures or videos. What they do is frightening and you there not take pictures to invoke trouble on yourself. In the middle of the process, I left the scene because the money we took there wasn't enough to pay for the service so I had to make a call so they send us some. When everything was finally okay, the rest was advice on how to leave with people and how evil people have become lately. We left home and we departed to our various towns.

My second activity was when I decided to shop for some shoes for my upcoming birthday that is going to happy in the 26th of April. It's been a while since I bought shoes for myself. I went to about two shops and didn't get my size. The ones I got too the price was too expensive.
> I then decided to visit this on table tops. People might think, those ones are not quality but they are the same in stores. The quality is the same but the prices are somewhat less expensive as compared to the store ones.
I walked passed three Sellers and noticed that, these shoes had their sizes ranging from 41-44. I wear size 40 and it was becoming tedious to get my size.
**Finally I got my size but it wasn't the type I wanted even though it looked great on me. They convinced me to buy and left to a different person**

* There I got the type I wanted and the correct size. If I had seen that one, I wouldn't have bought the first one. We bargained and I felt I had the financial muscles to buy that one too. After purchasing these goods, the money left was the one to pic a bus home. I walked as a tortoise so I could avoid any misfortune. I sat in the bus and came straight home.

In my quest to get what I wanted, I felt hungry and tasty along the line. I saw a coconut seller and bought one to quench my taste.

The traffic on our roads that days was serious. Most people were observing funerals due to the covid protocols and ban on funerals. Most of the morgues we're full and they needed to free up spaces. Most Ashanti wants to burry their people with a lot of people in attendance. In Ashanti Region, funeral are occasion so due to the ban, most people had their dead bodies at the morgues. This Saturday, most of the towns in the Ashanti region observed funerals for their beloved ones so it made the roads very busy.
* I was already stressed in the car and the rains also came down. It took a lot if hour to get to the house. But I had the beaten of my life when I got down from the car and had no place to hide. I tied the the shoes and my phone in polythene bad and walked it the rains. There was nothing I could do than to walk in the rains. My only fear was the wind and the thunderstorms but I was able to get back home safely.
Good bless you all and keep us all safe.
