An old client of mine came to me with an idea:

An idea to create, basically, an investment portfolio for the masses.

A way for any non-accredited investor to join a pool of funds that invests transparently and for the benefit of the individual investor.. Minimal fees, all that stuff.

He wants to do it through the more traditional mediums and has been speaking with regulators, attorneys, etc. and trying to figure out how to make his idea work.

The problem is that traditional regulations make his idea impossible through the traditional financial system.

I just sent a rather lengthy email, but my perspective is more concisely along the lines of this:

If the old financial system is not working, why not try the new one? -- token economies.

Creating an distributing a token could be the best way to go about this whole ordeal.

Rather than trying to get the traditional financial system which is known for being extremely stiff and unmoving, why not move to the new financial system where anything is possible.

Yes, there will be hurtles and legal battles and there will be a lot of work to try and make this thing a legal reality as a security token, but isn't it worth the upside if the idea actually works in the end?

Anyways. This is my perspective. Out with the old nonsense that is simply outdated and in with the brand-spanking new technology that can radically change the world by being transparent, fee-less and border-less!
