Controversy in the world these days seems to swirl around everywhere you look.

I often wonder if controversy is a good thing or if it's a bad thing.

Being the interconnected society that we are, it's interesting to watch ideas formulate, develop and spread like wildfire. 

Social media has more of an impact in everyone's life than I think most people realize.

Whether you accept it or not, social media is affecting the way you think. Even if you spend 0 time on social media, you are still spending time with other people who are spending time on social media.

By doing so, you are getting information from social media, albeit indirectly.

Steemit has had a lot of controversy swirling around as well.

It seems that there are just a lot of things going on and a lot of people who have both negative and positive opinions about these things.

My personal take on the situation is that we need more action out of Steemit, Inc.

If I'm being completely honest, I wonder why the hell even 2 seconds was spent making this. 

I'm not trying to shit talk and bad mouth, I'm making an observation. 

It's important to have a clearly laid out vision, but I feel like that's all we've been seeing out of Steemit, Inc.

To me, it seems like Ned and Steemit are constantly talking about what they are going to do and are always coming up short in actually having anything deliverable to show for it. 

What do you think?

Do you think Steemit and Ned just continue to talk in circles and get nothing done? Or do you think they are doing the right thing by continually laying out new plans?

I know they rolled out Hivemind, but I read somewhere that it was a significant change, but not as significant as Steemit hyped it up to be.
