Army Veterans Ready To Form Human Shield Against Police

There is a growing group of military veterans who are willing to put their personal safety on the line in forming a barrier and standing between the police and the activists at Standing Rock. The veterans are not going to give up the fight anytime soon. 

They might make it a little more difficult for the state to try and move hundreds of activists who remain adamant about protesting the event and are camped near the construction site. The hope is that the presence of the military veterans will limit the excessive force that will be employed by the state in order to squash demonstrations. 

One of the veterans, Elizabeth Williams, who is an air force veteran, says that she and others are prepared to put their bodies between the two groups. They acknowledge that they have stood in the face of fire before and they aren't going to let fear stop them from doing what is right. They say that they feel a responsibility to use the skills that they have to protect people from being harmed in this instance.

It isn't sure how many veterans are going to take part, it's said that at least 1000 took part in December and we could see that many or more show up. The veterans also collectively apologized to the indigenous people for the long history of violence they've been subjected to by the US government. The environment is very cold and chaotic and those who are going to be there taking part need to be sure that they have the right skills to stay safe. 

The veterans say that the event at Standing Rock is a humanitarian case and they don't want to see anyone get hurt. They didn't come to the event as fighters, but as protectors. Veterans have also raised over $200,000 in donation funds for the cause.

That is very true. This is something that does need to be stopped, we need to find ways to live off renewable energy not oil. I think the worst thing could be if the oil start to leak we ave to many of those kinds of issues as it is we don't need the risk!

The protest at Standing Rock is over. The tribe doesn't want them there anymore and the protester still need to clean up their mess at camp before the Cannonball river floods. My guess is we'll see very little action from the protesters their while the tribe and fed clamp down on them.

You will never see the thousands of people at the camp like we saw back in early December. There will be a few hundred rogue protesters still at the camp but the tribe and the feds won't allow that camp to grow anymore due to flooding risk.

What kills me the most about pipelines, tankers, offshore drilling rigs and oil spills is that oil is OBSOLETE. Free energy technology has been suppressed for years all for $BIG OIL$ -  the good news is I believe these technologies are on the verge of being revealed- free energy is key in our next quantum leap of human development. I suspect the US government has has free energy technology since the seizing of all of Nikola Tesla'a research upon his death.

well they do inflict a tremendous amount of unjust violence on the world as an organization, i am surprised that some of them are even involving themselves with this standing rock incident to be honest. Wouldn't have expected that! :)
