First of all, I will like to start by saying I am a newbie who would like to become a talented steemhunter on the [Steemhunt](https://steemhunt.com/) Platform, and I am very grateful to the organisers of this contest for giving newbie like me the opportunity to take part in the contest. I am very sure this will motivate newbie like me and bring in more people to join the [Steemhunt](https://steemhunt.com/) Platform.
### What is [Steemhunt](https://steemhunt.com/)?
[Steemhunt](https://steemhunt.com/) is a community on the Steem blockchain that gives product enthusiasts (also known as product hunters) the opportunity to dig out new, cool and geeky products and talk about those products with other users on the platform. And in return for the hunts, hunters get rewarded in cryptocurrency via STEEM and HUNT for sharing cool and interesting products and competing every day. As at the time of writing this article, the stats for hunt on the [Steemhunt](https://steemhunt.com/) website shows that a massive number of 63,220 products has been shared by various SteemHunters since March 2018, with the highest amount earned for a single hunt post being $247.13 and the average reward being $2.98 for each hunt post.
### What is a talented SteemHunter?
Just as a said earlier, I am entering this contest as a newbie and sincerely, I do not think I have an idea of what a talented SteemHunter is. If I do, then maybe I would have been a professionally talented SteemHunter by now....Lol!
I said that because I have tried making my research and some notable enquires from some existing SteemHunters on Discord and Whatsapp social networks to see if I can get enough knowledge on how Steemhunt works, but it seems most of them don't really want to reveal the secret to what I really want to know to become a talented SteemHunter. Actually, they tried their best but I really need some direct answers to some questions which they seem reluctant to give out. Below is a proof of one of the groups I joined on Whatsapp sometimes ago in my strive to getting adequate knowledge about becoming a talented SteemHunter.

##### So, the question now is "What would I like to learn to become a talented SteemHunter?
To be sincere, some of the people I reached out to have done a lot to explain to me most of the things I need to know about becoming a talented SteemHunter, but there is this one question all of them are always reluctant to give answers to.
> **Where are the places to dig for cool products?**
This particular question which I refer to as one of the most important and vital things to know to become a talented SteemHunter is what I am still yet to get answers to. I really do not know why they don't like telling people that, but I think it's probably because they see that as a little secret to their breakthrough on the Steemhunt platform. I've tried searching the internet for products but it's just too hard to see products that I can classify to be cool products.
This is the more reason I am very grateful to the organisers of this contest because I've checked through some of the entries and I found useful and interesting places to dig for cool products. With this, I think i've gotten a solution to the challenge stopping me from becoming a talented SteemHunter through this amazing contest.
As a newbie that I am and with what I've learnt so far, I think I can say;
**_A talented SteemHunter is someone who has the necessary skills and knowledge required to give answers to the questions below and religiously follow them in his/her activities on the [Steemhunt](https://steemhunt.com/) Platform. The questions are;_**

> - What would you like to see in a Steemhunt post What are the requirements to post cool products
> - How does one get a hunt approved
> - How do steem hunters interact with each other
> - How to understand HUNT tokens
> - How to prepare for Review hunt
### Now, let's briefly talk about HUNT Token
HUNT Token is the token that enables the creation of an ecosystem that is freely substitutable between product makers and product hunters. HUNT tokens are earned by hunters when they share or upvote products that are new and cool in the Steemhunt community. HUNT tokens have various uses and one of them is that it determines the hunt score of SteemHunters.
